And No!You don’t need a signature Randall KH-15 amp to sound like Kirk Hammett
All you need to sound like Kirk Hammett is,some knowledge in pentatonic scales and a little bit of Wah!(And if the Signature Kirk Hammett sound means St.Anger,you really don’t want to sound like him).
But well….oh,this is hard….the KH-15 Kirk Hammett Signature amp does look wicked….for a practice amp!This is not a rip off the stuff you’ll read in the product catalogue-so consider this to be an honest review.
The nice thing about it is-it’s so damn simple!(Ok,I know it’s a practice amp,ahem!)It has two channels,yeah two channels I said-one clean and a signature Kirk Hammett overdrive(meaning:that sound you produced with your cheap effects pedal with a li’l bit of Wah,when you were playing pentatonic scales).It also comes with a boost mode-which makes me wonder,’Cause the original St.Anger boost mode 
was taken care of by Lars’ snare!
The other features are pretty simple really,yeah,it already sounded simple,but you know-the usual stuff-three band equalizer,headphone output,a CD/cassette input and did I say three band equalizer,oh yes I did!That’s that really!I did say simple!
So there you have it folks,how to get a signature Kirk Hammett sound!If you are so die hard,you can psend your hard earned pennies on this.All respect to Kirk but it makes me wonder….is the signature Kirk Hammett sound so simple?So simple you can achieve it with two simple overdrive and clean channels?

Dude, I have the KH 602 guitar, which I love, and handle the music on a Peavey 212 EFX. No complaints what so ever. I think that amp is fuckin’ bad ass.

Due,I am really desperate to listen to the new Metallica,and anything that comes before it under the name of Metallica-I tend to hate it!But yes,Like I said,the amp is simple and since it’s awesome.But it won’t make any one the Kirk Hammett the second.
