Yeah-Steve Harris is to be blamed for every reason why Lauren Harris sucks.Ok don’t roll your eyes and get all pumped up to go at me bitches,it’s just irony-you gotta live with it-without it….well everything stinks without it-let’s put it that way.

I came across this Metal Shrine interview  with Lauren Harris and keeping it to the point-I fucking hate it!It’s not the interviewer or the interviewee(No,I don’t hate her,she’s quite good looking really!)-it’s just the bullshit the interviewee is playing and all the BIG garbage she’s spoken.Let’s take it piece by piece eh?

Metalshrine: Did he guide you in any direction or did it happen all by itself, you taking up music and singing?

Lauren Harris: No, he never really guided me. I started singing when I was nine in school and I always just kind of carried it on and I wished I would have picked up an instrument really, but I never did. I carried on singing after school and I did the whole pop thing and that kind of went on….

Metal Cracker says: What a pity,Steve didn’t guide you.If he did-we’d be seeing an amazing show really.’Cause the thought of the daughter of an Iron Maiden playing some “proper music” is just marvellous.To think that-if he had poured some sense in to you-no one showing up for Maiden gigs would have to bare through your performance just to hear Maiden and to keep still without booing the hell out simply out of respect for Steve.They are a million and one fucking unsigned band out there ripping theirs butts out to get a song played on radio and dreaming of opening for Iron Maiden one day,and there you are playing your “pop music”.Some people are just born with it,just born with simply everything on their lap and they decide to puke on it….arrrggggghhh pop music eh?

You are Steve Harris’ daughter and you never picked an instrument?Wow!He surely must be proud of you.

Metalshrine: Do you think it opens more doors or closes more doors because you’re Steve Harris’ daughter? I guess some people might think it’s all because you’re his daughter.

Lauren Harris: Yeah, I get both sides. It’s a double-edged sword really. You know, in some respects it’s good. Some people have been really welcoming, because they know who I am, but then on the other side people have got that kind of like, I don’t know… they’ve got that thing about them where they just think “Ah you know, she’s just the daughter of…!” I don’t worry too much about that, because I think I’m still here and if I didn’t do it well, then I wouldn’t be on this tour again. I’ve been out with a few more bands, you know, like WITHIN TEMPTATION and THUNDER and I wouldn’t still be doing it if it was just him.

Metal Cracker says:“People have been really welcoming,because they know who I am”-yes you are right Lauren,people know who you are and respect and welcome you for who you are-Steve Harris’ daughter.Have you ever wondered why they say Maiden are one of the hardest bands to open for and only a kick ass opening band would make it without being booed,but you always managed to walk away with a….um….couple of boos?Because you are Steve Harris’ daughter,not because they like your “music”.

“wouldn’t still be doing it now if it was just him”.Wow!One hell of a talker you are.Well how the hell do you think you managed to make it to DOWNLOAD?

Metal Shrine:Have you always been a fan of Iron Maiden or when you were a kid,did you just think that their music was the worst crap in the world?

Lauren Harris:No,not at all!I’ve always grown up and listened to it and I’ve always liked it,I suppose the kind of stuff I listen to now or the stuff I’m doing is because of my dad really.Stuff he played around the house and stuff my friends weren’t listening to because it wasn’t commercial and it’s not the kind of stuff you hear on the radio.I definetely loved that stuff.

Metal Cracker says:I really don’t hate you Lauren,but you are contradicting your “I am doing my own thing on my own” BIG TALK with your own words.Plus I am really worried about “the kind of stuff you listen to now” and I honestly am sure there’s no connection between Iron Maiden and that!

And talking about her albums.Ahem!!!!!!

Metalshirne:What were your influences for the album?

Lauren Harris:Well,kind of old schoolclassic rock from the 70’s and 80’s.I mean,I grew up listening to Gun,Golden Earring.I like Def Leppard and I really like Heart,Zeppelin,Aerosmith.AC/DC,Free and that kind of stuff.That’s definetely where my influences come from.

Metal Cracker says:How about Iron Maiden for some influence?For one minute I thought you were Steve Harris’ daughter! Great influence Lauren but none of your stuff sounds anything like Leppard or Aerosmith or AC/DC.It really sounds like some Avril Lavigne rip off band!Oh,is this the “stuff you are listening to now”?

And this is the last one folks,I know this is getting really long now.

Metalshrine:You´ve toured with a lot of people, as you mentioned, you´ve opened up for Heaven and Hell and so on. Over theyears you must´ve come across a lot of these people through your dad. Do you get starstruck?

Lauren Harris: Yeah, but I never really remember meeting somebody that famous when I was little. But being on these tours and stuff I´ve met Ronnie James Dio. I can´t believe I met him! Geezer Butler and Toni Iommi, I met all the guys from Heaven and Hell. They were all amazing, I couldn´t believe it. Oh God, I´ve met a few people. I kind of always get starstruck but I try not to show it. (laughs). Who else have I met? I met Juliette Lewis and that was really cool. She´s amazing and as an actress as well. She´s brilliant and she´s a woman, so that´s great for me.

Metal Cracker says: Wow!You’ve met some amazing people Lauren.Pity you didn’t collect anything out of meeting all those awesome people.Have you met McFly?I am sure you’ll find them “inspiring”
