Remove tattoos at home
Many a good metaller have covered some part of their skin,at some point in their lives with some sort of a tattoo. It’s not just the trend,it’s the attitude.I can mention the names of many tattoo giants in metal who are the top of their. For instance Kerry King of Slayer and ex-Pantera/DOWN singer Phil Anselmo have both covered as much skin as possible, including their heads.I personally know many kids who get to see the likes of Kerry,Phil and Manson etc..and wanting the most wicked tattoo on Earth.
But.here’s the real deal,I’ve been to rock shows both here(that’s Sri Lanka) and the U.K and I’ve seen really young looking lads with messy sleeves.Occasionally I’ve come across the odd tattoo which really looks nice and brings out the intended attitude but the majority would fall under “MESSY”.
“Why remove?”,you ask.”The permanency of tattoos is what brings the attitude”.Well,my answer is “yes”.But what if you/tattoo artiste mess(es) up with it and it doesn’t deliver the desired attitude?Ah,now you are getting it!!!Simple it may sound, but to take it further I did my research on tattoos and tattoo removal.
Going through my pile of old rock magazines I came across an article on the Britain’s ZERO Magazine. It was quite new by the time this article was published,to be precise it was the third issue of the magazine.ZERO journalist Ian Downes interviewed renowned tattoo artiste Guy Aitchison and they did an amazing four page article out of it.
In the interview Aitchison commented on the negative aspects of tattooing,or should I say “the negative aspect”?I’ll stick to “the aspect”.Well,“the aspect” is nothing but the permanency, the very same fact that brings out the attitude in a tattoo.Aitchison said “I think everyone should have the right to do whatever they want, but the sad fact is that most folks are young enough they really can’t comprehend to the long term effects of their decision”.
Let me remind you that’s not any ordinary twenty year old, running a tattoo parlour. That’s Guy Aitchison, the renowned tattoo artiste. So what if you are old enough to know what you are getting? What if you have a solid understanding about what you are about to do to yourself?Well, the tattoo artiste still has total control over it,right?Aitchison, himself admitted that when he started tattooing he had tried his work on clients unaware of his experience as a tattooer. But fortunately for the clients(and probably Aitchison too,AHEM!!!)things went smooth,or rather, said to have gone smooth.
So,long story short, tattoos can get messed up,and they usually don’t look nice when messed up.The only way to get rid of them is laser, well, that’s what most people think. For laser tattoo removal,it will approximately cost the victim $45 a square inch(the key-words here, are “approximately” and “inch”).
Cover up tats?Oh,please don’t!I’ve seen cover up tattoos on people, and believe they are not nice.Since they have to cover something up,they are usuallyvery dark and have absolutely no creativity at all. They come in the form of dark, big baseballs or footballs.
But while browsing the web I came up with this amazing product called Doc Wilson’s Wrecking Balm.Yes,it’s a BALM,you read it right.”If you can reach it-YOU CAN FADE IT”.That’s Wrecking Balm’s word for you.If you do not get rid of your tattoo in 6 months, you get your money back,no questions asked. So,why the pain? Why all the big bucks? Why rely on unknown tattooists?(You won’t be reading this far if it was not for a lasting memory given by some “unknown” tattooist).Buy it and watch that tats fade away in the comfort of your own home.
