Last week,I wrote a post about why I think SlipKnot’s new album will be so very “1997″.You can read it here.Though many people think they are just a bunch of noisemakers,I saw something in them that made me dig their hit album,Iowa.But as I’ve also mentioned in my earlier post,I wasn’t at all impressed by their next attempt “The Subliminal Verses”.The term I used to describe it-I think- was “very 30 seconds to Mars“.I am not sure whether they were around back then.Whatever.You get the idea.

And I don’t think I’ll like the new album either judging by what SlipKnot are saying.They realesed a video that-to me-resembles a very low-key Horror movie snippet.Shaun “Clown” Crahan tried to impress us a lot(unsuccesfuly) about the new album with his words,and now none other Corey Taylor is trying to sound like Venom and scare us.

“I don’t think the world will be ready for this album because they listen to Venom and they don’t shit their pants easily“said Corey Taylor talking to US mag Billboard.All you amature bands/frontmen out there,remeber this,’cause if your albums ever fail,you can always blame it on the world!

Finally,all I’ve got to say to SlipKont is you better do some sweet things with your music,because we are all watching and we also remember that you didn’t speak as much about it,when you released that bastard of an album called Iowa.
