Stratovarius book-Is it another “Some Kind of Monster-ly” justification?
Yeah there are signs of another Metal book already. This is becoming so very “Spinal tap!”,seriously! But what makes it ”Spinal Tap” actually is the fact that according to the
author Timo Tolkki-former guitarist and vocalist of Stratovarius-the book “will include….the public stage pissing of Jens Johansson, stabbing and more. All backed by evidence, of course. I believe it will be interesting reading for many.”
Assuming it will be interesting reading? Well let’s really not go there.
Now,if you are just down here from Mars-here’s for your education.Stratovarius were a superb Power Metal band who disbanded earlier this year (breaking my little world yet again!),in the legendary “Creed-Break up” way.I know Creed were not legendary but their vocalist Scot Stapp was (Ahem!Crash, doink,Zooga!).Anyways,so they broke up and there’s been a lot of post-breakup “stabbing and pissing”,and with this news,I am only too sure that it will continue.
I’ve always maintained that “Some Kind of Monster” has been a justification of St.Anger. Why justify St.Anger? You know already,or you are really in need of day job to keep your ass occupied, because if you don’t know this, you’ve not been doing anything in your entire fucking life.
So…. Assuming “Some kind of Monster”was genuine-I think it really speaks as to why St.Anger is probably the poorest Metallica record, because, well watch it you’ll know.Like wise I believe, this new book Tim Tolkki is working on is going to be a justification of the “Stratovarius break-up” and another “Every reason why you should listen to Revolution Renaissance and not buy anything Jens Johansson does.(Again for the Aliens,Revolution Renaissance is Timo Tolkki’s new project)
Tim Tolkki has also said that there will be one final “get-together” album by the original Stratovarius members,if it was not for the current Strat bad-blood and all the bullshit in the press I would have really looked forward to this because they were phenominal when they were together. But let’s see,I will read the book anyways and if Timo is going to make sense in it(he always did with his music)-I will change my mind.Who knows?
But honestly there’s a massive “Spinal Tap” factor attached to this whole thing.Let’s try and keep it that way,eh?

Hey, just came by your site through Entrecard. Havent looked through it much but i plan to. I didn’t know Stratovarius broke up, but that being said I’m not a huge fan, but im pretty sure thats because the couple of random songs ive heard didnt impress me, im a pretty big power metal and Swedish like metal fan over all. Do you have any recommendations for good Stratovarius songs??

Nowadays you have to search high and low to find something that’s as badly built as my first electric guitar. Heck, you might even have to get one especially made for you.
